Winter Reading Wrap-Up
Hey guys! So sorry I'm a month behind in reporting on my winter reading. I know y'all were on the edge of your seats. ;-)
Anyway, here's the list in the order the books were read:
1. A Lady of Resources (Magnificent Devices, #5) by Shelley Adina—YA steampunk, audiobook
2. Frederica by Georgette Heyer—Regency romance
3. The Forbidden Wish (The Forbidden Wish, #1) by Jessica Khoury—YA fantasy, Aladdin retelling
4. A Talent for Trickery (The Thief Takers, #1) by Alissa Johnson—Historical romance
5. Career of Evil (Cormoran Strike, #3) by Robert Galbraith—Crime, private detective, audiobook
6. The Breakup Support Group by Cheyanne Young—YA romance
7. Arsenic with Austen (Crime with the Classics #1)—Mystery
8. Beyond the Stars by Stacy Wise—NA (new adult) romance
9. Windwitch (The Witchlands, #2) by Susan Dennard—YA fantasy
10. The Replacement Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts—YA romance
11. Love, Lies and Spies by Cindy Anstey—YA historical romance, Regency
12. The Readaholics and the Poirot Puzzle (Book Club Mystery, #2) by Laura DiSilverio—Mystery
13. The Perilous Journey of The Much Too Spontaneous Girl (The Perilous Journey of The Not So Innocuous Girl, #2) by Leigh Statham—YA steampunk
It's difficult to choose a favorite from this list because I enjoyed the books almost equally. Only the two adult mysteries fell below the others—and I still thought they were decent reads. I absolutely loved the two audiobooks, A Lady of Resources and Career of Evil. I'm a sucker for a fantastic British narrator and these really delivered!
I confess I'm truly stuck. I can't pick a favorite. So instead I'll share a few of the covers with you. And if you're interested in my ratings or reviews (which are always short), you can check out my Goodreads shelf of the books I've read. Have you read any of the books on my winter list? What did you think of them?
