Spring Reading Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, everyone! Hope you're enjoying the first few days of summer. In an effort to keep up to date, ahem--see previous post, here's the list of books I read this spring in order from first to last.

  1. My Senior Year of Awesome by Jennifer DiGiovanni—YA romance

  2. Stars Above (The Lunar Chronicles #4.5) by Marissa Meyer—YA fairytale retelling/futuristic

  3. The Walnut Tree by Charles Todd—Historical romance

  4. The Mark of Athena (The Heroes of Olympus #3) by Rick Riordan—YA fantasy

  5. Black Widow: Forever Red by Margaret Stohl—YA superhero/assassins

  6. The House of Hades (THoO #4) by Rick Riordan—YA fantasy

  7. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han—YA romance

  8. The Blood of Olympus (THoO #5) by Rick Riordan—YA fantasy

  9. There Once Were Stars by Melanie McFarlane—YA dystopian

  10. Fairest (The Lunar Chronicles #3.5) by Marissa Meyer—YA fairytale retelling/futuristic

  11. Defy (Defy #1) by Sara B. Larson—YA fantasy

  12. P.S. I Still Love You (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before #2) by Jenny Han—YA romance

  13. The Paladins (The Artisans #2) by Julie Reece—YA southern gothic/paranormal

  14. The Bughouse Affair (Carpenter and Quincannon #1) by Marcia Muller and Bill Pronzini—Historical mystery

  15. Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares (Dash & Lily #1) by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan—YA romance

So, I read four YA contemporary romances, nine books with a fantastical bent of some kind, and two historical novels. I really enjoyed finishing up Rick Riordan's Heroes of Olympus series and spending time with the sometimes crazy characters in the Percy Jackson world. :D

All four of the YA romances were really good. Fun characters, angsty situations, and plenty of swoony moments. And even though Lara Jean from To All the Boys I've Loved Before is my new fave quirky-cute character, I think my favorite book of the spring was My Senior Year of Awesome. That book just made me laugh out loud so many times. And you can't beat that.

And now, on to summer reading!
